Temples
and pagodas are probably what
the people outside the country have heard
about. There are other subjects but this
Buddhist Shrines are a hallmark of Burma and
one tourist are after it for sightseeing.
This monuments are unique and
especially at Bagan and Mrauk U
overwhelming, there is no other place on
earth with this dense assembly of sacred
monuments. The buildings have been erected
over at least the last 1500 year, some
vanished, other where washed away by the
monsoon floods, earthquakes and simple
decay. At places such as Bagan there is
constant rebuilding and renovation going on
which is supplying jobs to hundreds of
people. It tells something that the biggest
building is the administration of the
archeologic zone.
