Pagoda Pictures, Buddhist shrines, stupas and temples.

Probably the most famous pagoda on the planet is the Shwedagon Pagoda. A monumental expression of the faith in Buddhism, this structure is basically around 2000 years old but most of this timeframe is looked quite different. When they started to build this monument it was renovated every couple of decades to repair from earthquakes and the damaging influence of monsoon

floods pouring down every years.

This Buddhist shrine has seen many kings and queens, adventurers, colonialists plenty of foreigners and thousands of pilgrims who come to pray and pay respect to Buddha.

Probably the best time to visit is either in the early morning or after around 3pm, the reason everyone must walk barefoot and the marble slabs get very hot which makes walking difficult.

This is the Vatican of the Buddhist world and people come from all over to have a look and a sightseeing tour. There are around 300 more sacred buildings on the platform some people believe have have the power for magic.
