A Myanmar river cruise vacation
on the
famous Ayeyarwady or Irrawaddy River -see
the videos- is a exotic
vacation trip you will never forget.
The problem
is the operators of this kind of
cruising ask sky high prices. This is in
particular virulent when booking a
cruise with the " Road to Mandalay " a
former river vessel which did the job on
the river Rhein before and was
transferred to Myanmar a couple of years
ago. The other is the RV Pandaw a
renovated steamer which was already on
duty during British Colonial Times for
the Irrawaddy Flottila Company.
There are
one or two more vessels doing the run
between Bagan and Mandalay. Also in the
delta region between Yangon and Pathein
or Bassein a pax RV is operating.
