Basic travel to Myanmar

A trip  you will never forget into a great Asian country with rich culture, interesting people and incredible scenes including pristine beaches, tropical jungle and waters. A incredible island world in the Myeik or Mergui Archipelago south Myanmar and adventure mountain trekking in the high region of the north.

The country has real nature highlights including two large nature reserves with tiger population at Alaungdaw Kathapa near Monywa and at the Hukawng Valley Tiger Reserve.

Formerly known as Burma

and one of the top destination in Asia but unfortunately most people don't know or are blocked by some fuzzy politics, they don't know travel is not politics. Most people you will see on your tour are dedicated to Buddhism.

This is visible everywhere you travel in form of pagodas and monks. That means, among other, pagodas which are almost a synonym since more than 2000 years. In resent decades lot of differences with the rest of the world arose, this has political reasons, travel could

lead to a better understanding. Those travelers might have been appreciating the wealth in agriculture and minerals and the precious gold covered pagodas expressing Buddhism. Read more about the Golden Land here, on country tours throughout the state the main focus is usually on Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and Inle Lake and maybe a beach. If you make a trip today you will still find the same old pictures as it was before colonial times, not much has changed, some similarities from colonial times are still with Penang Georgetown in Malaysia. Most people come to the country via Thailand, this needs some information, if you are out for great beaches full of action and nightlife better use Patong Beach about 300 km south of Kawthaung in the south.
