Don't listen to the "western media" who
tells you don't do Myanmar travel because you cant go here and there and everywhere,
this is pure nonsense of people who don't know
what they talk about. Just look through this
Myanmar website, all the places I went on my own over
almost 20 years now, never ever anyone told me I
cant go to a certain place, if there where
problems on travel in Myanmar it was always in
terms of the almost non existing infrastructure.

What always get manipulated in the "western
media" is that when a foreign journalist do
his or her Myanmar travel he or she is more or less on working
and for working in a other country one need a
special visa, this is granted or not.
This is the
same in any
other country in this world including USA,
Europe etc. and I know that even the USA wont
allow a German journalist to enter the US when he or
she try to make a certain investigation without
a proper visa, that
means all the blame to Myanmar authorities just
doing the same like anyone elsewhere is bad and
manipulated "western" propaganda. Some time ago
I followed a case at LA Int. Airport where the
US immigration detained a German journalist
since she came in on a tourist travel visa, but
the US immigration didn't believe her and were
sure she came on writing about something related
to the US. They detained her and put her into
the next airplane back to Germany. The source
for this is the News Magazine, der Spiegel, the
biggest in Europe. Now nobody is interest in
this, but when the Myanmar authorities just do
the same, the whole "western media" screams,
especially the US guys and the British colonial
masters of the past. A bunch of hypocrites,
nothing else.

It is the Burmese

groups the smallest and
most backward are the Salon
or sea gypsies,
who inhabit the islands off
the southern coast, mainly
in the Mergui or Myeik
archipelago, further south
in Thailand they are called
Moken.
They are
probably the oldest
inhabitants from southern
Myanmar and
southern Thailand all the way down
to the Tarutao Islands on
the border between Thailand
and Malaysia..

Myanmar people came in by
three waves of
immigration from the north.
Of these the earliest is
represented by the Mon or
Talaing, who also stretched
all the way down to present
day Phuket Island in
southern Thailand, the right
extension to your Myanmar

The second
and third wave of Myanmar
people were the Burmese and
the Shan. The Karen
stand in a category somewhat apart. |

Kachin are of the same Myanmar people
ethnic group as the Burmese, but their
descent into Burma came later.

The real problem of
the Myanmar or
Burmese people are the
former colonialists, the
British who
suppressed any
development of the
country unless it would
serve their colonial
purpose. Before the
Brits came, Myanmar was
about on the same level
as Japan under the Meiji
dynasty of the same
time.
After
the Brits did their bad
colonial job, it didn't
end there, they
exiled to India the
Myanmar or Burmese king
who was the integration
figure for several
hundreds years, the
result was that Burma
somehow fell apart, on
top of it the Brits
manipulated the Karen
and others to stand up
against the Burmese, to
feed their colonial
purpose, like the old
Romans
did, divide and conquer.

this was not already
enough, the Brits and
USA brought
the 2. world war into
Myanmar together with the Japanese
and Chinese, now the
helter skelter was
perfect.
Today
this European and US
warmonger scream against
the Myanmar government
because they give a
damn what the European
and US are telling, the
present Myanmar
government learned the
very bad lesson from the
past. The Brits and US
buttheads never learned anything
as everyone can see in

performances usually

themes.
Substantial Myanmar
nightlife is
offered at Yangon
and some towns at
Myanmar Chinese
border, where plenty
of Chinese men cross
the border to have
some fun in the
night. Actually at
the border the
nightlife driven by
the Chinese is even
more hot than
Bangkok nightlife
since everything
goes and is allowed.
