Fashion Show in Yangon Chinatown

We offer individual trips into the north, the tribal areas in east
and west and elsewhere, tell us where you want to go via contact.

This nightlife events are a real specialty in the country because they mark the border the government allows at the front end of entertainment in the nightlife scene and it is definitely "eye candy" when visiting most restaurants, nightclubs and disco. They fashion show groups, usually with 6 to 10 girls make their round through Yangon at night.

They stop at every place, make their catwalk run

and hope that some guys spend some flower garlands and maybe more since also pretty ladies have to live somehow and that means money. Considering the fact that many of this pretty girls are often the main contributor to the families budget it definitely has a serious social impact.

Although "clever" people on the forefront against this are western foreigners of various EU taxpayers paid institutions (UN, NGO's etc. with 4 and 5 digits dollars salaries per month who turn up their noses but getting paid to help them which they usually do as long as they get their cash from the EU taxpayers. What does that mean? Ignore them they are only part of the catastrophe tourism where their employees live from on the back of poor Asian people, that's the same in Thailand, Cambodia and elsewhere in the region.
